Basic information

The CSC program is based on 4 pillars

  1. Monthly event of all participants
  2. Monthly small group meeting with other participants
  3. Monthly meeting of a participant with a mentor (pastor or elder of his/her church)
  4. Weekly homework time of the participant (in addition to the time participants spend regularly meeting with God)

Instead of always gathering as a whole group, there are also opportunities for participants to engage in discussions, encouragement, and learning together in small groups. Additionally, there are opportunities to speak with a mentor (the pastor or elder of the participant’s church) and discover how what they have learned can be applied in church activities. With the help of a learning app, participants can deepen their understanding of what they have learned and learn how to apply it to their own lives.

What makes this 4-pillar-program so special?

1. Monthly event of all participants

At this monthly event, all participants come together to cultivate an intense fellowship within the CSC community and to experience God’s work firsthand.

The program alternates between
a) Worship and Bible Sessions,
b) Workshops,
c) Times of special spiritual challenges and
d) Opportunities to broaden personal horizons.

2. Monthly small group meeting with other participants

At this monthly small group meetings, we will learn together what it means to follow Jesus practically.

We will read the bible together; we will discuss how to put the biblical things we have learnt into practice, and we will pray together that the Holy Spirit might guide us in our daily life as Christians.

This group of 3-4 people (one leader and 2-3 participants) will meet presently or online for about 1 ½ ours once a month.

3. Monthly meeting of a participant with a mentor

The goal of this meeting is for a participant to share with a mentor (pastor or elder of their church) what they have learned during the CSC program in order to figure out together how what they have learned can be applied to and enrich their own church ministry.

This meeting takes place once a month presently or online for about 1 hour.

4. Weekly homework time of the participant

In addition to the time participants spend regularly meeting with God,each  participant has a weekly time to reflect over the things he has learnt during the CSC program and to do the homework he has received attending at the monthly event and at the monthly small group meeting.
A special software program will be a guide to do the homework about one hour a week.

1. Monthly event of all participants - in DETAil

Normally these events last half a day and take place on Saturday morning, Sunday afternoon or on a holiday (see the schedule under “1-year program”). If possible, it is preferable that all participants attend in person. However, online participation is usually possible.

If a participant was unable to attend one of the monthly events, he/she can watch a video recording of the respective event via the CSC learning app as a homework assignment and study the respective learning unit at home.

a) During the “Worship and Bible Sessions”, we will take plenty of time to praise God during worship time, listen intently to God’s Word during the bible lesson, encounter God on a very personal level during an extended quiet time, and pray specifically for one another during a concluding prayer time.

b) During the “workshops”, with the help of experienced speakers, we will gain deeper insight into important topics that affect our Christian life.
The following 2 workshops are planned for the program from September 2024  to June 2025:

“God`s creation – my personality (character)” (The speaker will be announced soon)

“God`s creation – my talents (spiritual gifts, skills and abilities)”   (The speaker will be announced soon)

c) During the “Times of special spiritual challenges” we try something new, maybe unusual and crazy in our spiritual journey, e.g. we do a 48-hour media fast or have a two-week prayer for the success of rivals, we do a roadside evangelism, we are discovering and using new skills, …
We also have times of a new, deep encounter with God, e.g., while doing a prayer walk, while having a prayer night or a time of food fasting…)

d) During the “Opportunities for Personal Horizon Broadening” we will discover new places, people and Christian ministries that will expand our idea of the Kingdom of God and that will show us the manifold possibilities to serve God and His church.
We plan to visit Bible schools and seminars, get to know the works of KGK, hi-b.a. and CCC. We also consider participating in a foreign mission trip.
