What are the 4 main goals of the one-year-program?
1) Know God more than you do now. Confirm the nature of God in the Bible and realize that God is faithful and trustworthy, comparing it with your own image. 2) Know yourself more than you do now. In Christ, discover your identity, worth, and uniqueness, and realize the potential of your growth as a beloved creation of God. 3) Experience more of the daily communion with God than you do now. Encourage each other and challenge ourselves to become more like Jesus in our daily lives. 4) Know more about the gifts and mission given by God than you do now. Recognize and utilize the gifts and talents given by God the Creator. Understand where God desires to use those gifts. Through this, discover the mission that God has given to your life.
How might finding your “mission” look like?
God created every unique and give everyone a unique mission for his life. We pray, that God may raise up as many devotees as possible who wish to a) “I want to continue serving my church as a lay person. b) “I want to continue my studies in a layman’s course c) “I want to become an evangelist/pastor/missionary.
How much does it cost to participate?
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters in Japan and Germany, there is no fee to participate in CSC’s one-year program.
However, a registration fee of 5,000 yen (administrative fee, workbook, learning application, etc.) will be charged at the time of program registration. Please note that a certificate of completion will only be issued to those who are officially registered for the program.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation, meals, and accommodations to the event.
For the two workshops (to be held in October 2023 and May 2024), we will ask for a small participation fee to cover the costs of the instructors. The amount of the participation fee will be announced shortly.
Voluntary contributions from participants are also welcome.
Is it possible for me to participate in specific events instead of all of them?
Basically, it’s perfectly fine if you only want to attend certain events.
However, if you pay the 5000 Yen registration fee, catch up on any missed monthly events using the Learning App, join a small group, have regular mentor meetings, and complete your assigned homework through the Learning App, you’ll receive a certificate of completion at the end.
Note: The Learning App is only available if you pay the 5000 Yen registration fee.
In other words: If you don’t pay the 5000 Yen fee and only attend selected monthly events online or offline without using the Learning App to review them, that’s totally fine, but you won’t receive a certificate at the end.
In any case, we would greatly appreciate any voluntary donations.
Is it possible for me to participate in the CSC program online?
You can also participate in the CSC program online. We will offer the option to join the different events of the CSC program online.
If you are considering the 1-year program, it would be great if you could attend in person 2-3 times (though this is not a strict requirement). We recommend joining in person on the first day (Saturday, 9/14), the final day (Saturday, 6/28), and if possible, for the one-day camp (Wednesday, 3/19 – Thursday (holiday), 3/20). However, you are welcome to attend other events in person if they fit better with your schedule.
